Lot 160 Kraken Road Ranger 419R DOB 05/08/2020 - SOLD $20,000
DNA - Homo Black/Homo Poll/Parent Verified
An earlier maturing style bull with just an absolutely amazing amount of length that everytime you look at him he just astounds you with how long he actually is. This bull as a junior took out Reserve Grand Champion Sydney Royal in the any other breed competition and was then retired from the show circuit. Out of a first calf heifer Castle Pearl who has continued to deliver quality offspring and by Kraken Tarbrush 053, who was an easy doing young sire sold to Inkermann that had oodles of thickness across the top and was an eye-catching sire, Road Ranger would certainly put some grunt into many herds. At 18/9/22 he weighed 943kg.

Lot 162 Kraken Jimmy 820R2 (P)(AI) DOB 22/12/2020 - WITHDRAWN
DNA - Hetero Black/Hetero Poll/Parent Verified
Jimmy is a bull that has been years in the making - a complete outcross in brangus genetics. His grandsire Raglan Victory was BEEF Interbreed Champion while his Grand Dam was the female exhibited by Kraken at the 2017 Ekka Alkoomie Miss Final Cut 820J who took out Reserve Senior Champion Brangus Female. The heifer created from the mating of these two - Kraken Miss Rocky 820P was then Ai'd to Suhn's Foundation where this powerhouse young sire was born. Weighed on 18/9/22 this young fellow certainly has the punch tipping the scales at 803kg. He is still only a baby at only rising 21 months.
He has a beautiful sire's head and well hooded eyes in addition to an unflappable temperament.  With his breeding in the purple, we are excited to see what he will produce in the future.
Selling 3/4 Share & full possession with semen used for in herd use only. No further recall on the bull.

Lot 163 Kraken Rip 391S (P) DOB 4/1/21 SOLD $24,000
DNA - Hetero Black/Hetero Poll/Parent Verified
Another bull that alot of thought and effort has gone into. Kraken stepped out and purchased Rip's sire PB Fenech's Brahman bull PBF McTimon Manso 592/18 a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, after an illness shortly after his purchase "Timmy"  was no longer fertile however we are very grateful to have been lucky to get a handful of surprise calves of which all of the females we have retained, and Rip is the ONLY bull calf produced from this sire before his death. Mixed with the stability of Gunnadoo Park Kylie a strong Australian Heritage generational female, this combination has produced what we think is a quality article. Kylie was purchased at the ABCA Roma sale as the top price female a few years ago as a weaner. She was then exhibited by Kraken to take out Reserve Senior Champion Female at the Brisbane RNA in 2019. Keep in mind he is still a youngster and will be rising 19 1/2 months at sale time. He has a top structure, beautiful topline and will bring something very special into the mix.
Selling 3/4 Share & full possession with semen used for in herd use only. No further recall on the bull.

Sire: Weona Cochisee

Lot 164 Kraken Dutton 007S (P)(AI) DOB 15/1/21 - SOLD $9000
DNA - Homo Black/Homo Poll/Parent Verified
Dutton is certainly a blast from the past sired by the Champion Brangus Bull, Weona Cochisee. We certainly haven't seen the best of Dutton yet being a later maturing young bull and only rising 20 1/2 months at sale time. His dam also has a lot of strong generationally bred heritage lines in Sunnyside with SS7 being one of our best donor families. Her now cow line of 007 has continued with strength with a female every year included in our show team. Dutton has the pedigree and will be one to take a gamble on at this young age as we are sure his best is yet to come.

All bulls are vaccinated - 3 day, 7 in 1, Vibrio, Peste, DNA*

*DNA - all dams and sires are DNA in our herd providing assurance of pedigree and giving ourselves and the buyer the tools to choose the best bull to suit their current breeding program. We produce poll bulls to sell at the ABCA National however we are also "pro horn" in our breeding up to these Polled animals and so you will see heterozygous poll and horned genetics in their pedigrees. This is because it is our belief that while we acknowledge there is understandable demand for polled genetics and will continue to breed towards these genetics, we also maintain the need for horned genetics to provide bone, skin and other qualities that we aim to present.

Pre-sale inspections welcome on property at "Pominda" Dalma via Rockhampton

*We welcome feedback and want to be the first to know if you have any issues with our bulls.*
All bulls are handled with bikes, people on foot, horses, they are exposed to many many visitors through our JJ Fitting complex and have been around a myriad of the "menagerie" including cats, working dogs, jack russells, sheep, guinea fowl and the like!!! From this and our dedication to very heavy culling on temperament we are finding that we can quickly identify any issues with new genetics that we may have introduced, and they are quickly culled from our herd, BEFORE anyone else gets them. After this, THEN we look at the bulls for other traits for review. Then feet, legs, testicle development, controlled sheaths and from there it continues. The ability to travel, carcase attributes, strength of pedigree & cow lines providing fertility & production assurance.

We also want to ensure we are producing bulls that look like bulls, sire appeal - good headed masculine animals which are mobile to go out and do the job. We do prepare on grain - but not on self-feeders - we hand feed to groups of cattle - we are VERY particular about the energy levels and maintain a low and slow long-term term preparation which we have found produces less "melt down", and excellent semen results.
